Why do you wish to be a gamemaster?: Because, I hate to say it, but most of the events aren't great. There's a lack of experience on the team, which is apparent.
What is an event that you ran/want to run? (Be detailed. If ran, explain whether it went well or not): An example of one I've run before. Well, it was on a Star Wars Clone Wars RP server. The players were given a briefing off a script I wrote given to one of the Naval personnel. They're objective was to find out why a base suddenly stopped transmitting anything, even after being hailed. On arrival they find the base disheveled, and bodies hanging from spears on the walls. Blood painted everywhere, with blaster scorch marks. After they fan out, and find the base empty besides corpses, the Engineers tap into the security feed. They find that it was actually a group of Natives that killed the Clones in an ambush, by slowly picking them off. The players headed out in the same direction the video feed indicated and found the natives. A large fight insued, only ending when the Natives surrender finally. It is revealed that the Clones base as on their ancestral gravesite. So they attacked out of purely religious reasons. Afterwards the Clones were brought back, and told that the Senate would handle the issue further to come to a resolution with the Natives.
An event I'd like to run would be on rp_episodeone which is a very linear map. The players would be sent there to help aid the local garrison against a URF assault. Only to find bodies from both sides scattered through the now-dead city. If they find them, a few terminals can be found, and hacked to reveal the last logs made by their previous owners. Bits and pieces that seem to indicate a Covenant attack happened in the chaos to wipe out both sides. Almost at the opposite end of the map the players would find the last survivor of the local forces. He's half mad, crazed with chaos. He talks about monsters under the ground. When they descend on the stairs into the darkness they'll find the true enemy in the city. The flood. The Players will then have to make a mad dash through the entire city back to the LZ to get the hell out. Anyone who dies along the way will respawn at the LZ and have to hold off the Flood to keep the LZ clear. If the LZ is overrun, the mission ends, and it's a failure. If even one person escapes, it's mission success.
Do you have any previous gamemaster experience? If so, what were they?: Yes, I have almost a decade of experience as a GM. I spent a year as the head GM at Solar Gaming, 3 Years as Head GM on Lonely Community Servers, and a few dozen others as just a GM.
(Roughly) How much time do you have on the server?: A few days at this point, not sure how long exactly.
How often can you be online?: Other than Wed. and Sat. I can be on anytime usually.
Have you ever gotten any warns, kicks, or bans? If so, what for? (AFK kicks are voided. If none, place N/A): No
What is the goal of a gamemaster?: To run something people have fun with.
Can you use your GM powers outside of doing an event and why?: I guess it depends on the context. I shouldn't be doing much in the way of "Staff" work, since I'm not staff, I'm an event creator. Though I imagine that spawning a vehicle for some people wanting to do a patrol, or enemies for a sim is allowed. Since there's no staff rules that I can find I'm not sure on the specifics here.
Do you understand that abuse of your power against players, staff, or the server will warrant removal of your rank and position within the staff team?: Yes
