Do you know how to use Sam: Yes
Are you over the age of 15: Yes
Do you have a mic: Yes
Do you understand you may be rejected and can reapply in 2 weeks: Yes, I do.
What time zone are you?: EST
Previous warn/bans?: None
QUESTIONS
Why do you want to join the staff?: As someone who’s previously ran, staffed for, and created communities, the staff team currently on the server is shit. Not only do I see most of the staff participate in “down time”, but the ones I see active also encourage it. The staff team on this server needs a serious overhaul and someone with experience that can work with them.
Can any staff vouch for you?: Most staff, yes. I believe that when asked, some of the staff can attest to what kind of person I am. As for staffing, I don’t believe there are any staff here that I’ve met on other servers I’ve staffed on previously.
A Marine kills an ODST and you don't know the reasoning, What would you do?: Take both to a sit. Firstly, I’d listen to both sides of the story and see what happened. I’d check logs and such to make sure that neither side could be lying (to check for chat logs or damage logs, etc). If the marine was telling the truth and he had a valid reason, I’d give him a verbal warning and tell him to go to NavSec next time. Should he have done it for no reason, I’d warn him and keep an eye on him in case he did it again, at which would result in a kick/ ban depending on the severity.
A group of players come and threaten to DDOS the server what would you do?: I’d screenshot proof of them, report it to high ranking staff, and warn them to stop. If they don’t, I’d ban them, alerting higher ranking staff that I did just so they could be prepared in the event that it does happen.
You See a high-ranking staff member breaking a rule what do you do?: Warn them to stop, if they refuse to, Record/ screenshot evidence and proof and report it to a higher ranking staff member than them so they can deal with it accordingly.
During an event a navsec trooper tries to strip comms and weapons from an event actor without rolling, What would you do?: Allow the GM to deal with it. It’s their event, and they may have a rule set in place where they don’t have to roll for specific reasons. If staff assistance is required, I’d alert the NavSec that those actions require a roll, and if it didn’t happen the action would be void. Should they still refuse to roll, I’d alert the GM hosting and ask if they want them removed from the event, and someone else fill in for the role of the NavSec in the meantime.
